Lean Six Sigma Green Belt - SSGB - In-Person
Description
The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course prepares people in the Six Sigma methodology to achieve significant results. The activities and tools taught increase participants' analytical capacity.
A Green Belt is a person with theoretical and practical knowledge of the Six Sigma methodology, including statistical tools and Lean techniques. The professional is competent to engage in improvement projects aimed at significant gains.
The Green Belt training has content equivalent to internationally accepted programs, adapted to local reality. The program presents Six Sigma structured around the DMAIC cycle (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control).
Various tools are presented during the training, integrated into the DMAIC cycle with practical examples. These tools include:
Process Mapping
Thought Maps
Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
Design of Experiments
The development of a real project during the course facilitates tool comprehension, develops improvement project implementation skills, and creates the possibility of achieving significant results for organizations.
Results
The possible results expected from applying the methodology taught in the course include:
Significant financial gain
Defect reduction
Decrease in the number of complaints
Reduction of process execution time
Inventory reduction
Revenue increase
Cost reduction
Financial results frequently exceed 20 times the investment made.
Training Program
The training consists of monitored sessions, self-study, assessments and completion of an improvement project. The improvement project is developed by the student throughout the training, selected from their organization's needs. The Six Sigma Green Belt training has a 72-hour workload.
The training program follows the DMAIC cycle (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control). Each module presents activities, statistical and non-statistical tools and Lean techniques, supported by simulations and real cases.
I - Define Phase
The Define phase presents Six Sigma fundamentals, statistical tools and activities to be developed.
Key activities and tools in this module:
Project Selection
Prioritization Matrix
SIPOC
Thought Map
Voice of the Customer (VoC)
II - Measure Phase
The objective of the Measure phase is to evaluate processes and convert assessment results into information that points toward solutions.
Key activities and tools in this module:
Process Mapping
Variable Selection
Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
Process Capability
III - Analyze Phase
The objective of the Analyze phase is to discover root causes and seek alternatives to make the product or service more robust.
Key activities and tools in this module:
Hypothesis Testing
Regression Analysis
Correlation Analysis
IV - Improve Phase
The objective of the Improve phase is to enhance processes and products.
Key activities and tools in this module:
Process Redesign
Introduction to Design of Experiments
V - Control Phase
The objective of the Control phase is to standardize processes and sustain the gains achieved.
Key activities and tools in this module:
FMEA
Process Standardization and Control Plan
